About

As a motivated creative communicator, my experience is illustrated across years of diverse experience in various local companies such as Apple retail, Tiny Prints and Levi’s - along with over a decade of public service.

In my current position as Creative Producer, I oversee a wide-array of projects from concept to project delivery. As a trained graphic designer, my toolbelt include skills to develop and promote brands, presentation decks, reports, flyers, posters and graphics. From March 2020 to September 2021, I had the honor to serve as one of the few graphic designers for San Francisco’s Emergency COVID Command Center. I helped develop the branding, graphics and thousands of public safety information pieces, seen throughout the Bay Area and as far as Puerto Rico, Hawaii, New Jersey and Los Angeles - and also received the Civic Awards from SF Design Week.

Most recently, I established an employee-based committee dedicated to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging across the department through social interactions so all employees can feel engaged and connected, virtually and in person. Over the course of 6 months, our team created a series of celebrations, activities and volunteer opportunities to build teamwork and to boost morale. The committee was recognized by the department’s director and executive management team in appreciation of our efforts.

In addition to creating these physical (and virtual) spaces, I also developed a platform for people to connect in a different way. My portfolio includes -

  • 3 podcast series (35 episodes)

    • Snapshots: Still We Rise - 14 digital time capsules focused on capturing our experiences, emotions and challenges during this time of the COVID pandemic.

    • Snapshots: Racial Justice - 14 difficult conversations about first-hand encounters, growth and self-discovery as folks navigate a society thick with racial injustices.

    • Snapshots - 7 introductions to colleagues at the start of the pandemic and working remotely.

  • A monthly webinar series (coordinating 11 sessions)

    • The series focused on projects in progress, providing a peek behind the scenes through the process, such as the City’s new floating fire station, animal shelter, emergency response and a panel discussion in celebration of AAPI month to name a few. My role was to plan the schedule, coordinate speakers and the hosts as well as produce the presentation deck.

  • An array of short videos (Scheduling, coordinating, scripting, filming, editing, promoting)

    • Public Works TV - a series of short videos available on YouTube and local media showcasing the people, places and projects of our City from the perspective of our department. Episodes include a deep dive into the history of San Francisco City Hall, our urban forest, hidden staircases and gems as well as light-hearted videos such as dance-offs with our IT staff or lip-syncing with our project managers and accountants.

    • Interviews - conversations with community members about their work such as how they show their love for the City by creating opportunities to pitch in and keep San Francisco clean and in partnership with our Black History Committee, we documented discussions with local leaders to share experiences and words of wisdom and advice for future generations.

    • Training Videos - learning isn’t actually a bore. Mandatory Title VI, Ethics Training and Employee Experience Survey all got a fresh spin and involved familiar faces within the department to heighten awareness and participation.

    • Celebratory videos - from ribbon cuttings to graduations to pet contest winners, every accomplishment is worth celebrating.

    • Teasers, Trailers and PSAs - whether it’s a reminder to wear a mask, pick up after your pet, tips about nailing your next interview or benefits of juicing ginger, call to actions, announcing upcoming milestones and events, or simply reminding folks of who we are, there was a video for it.

    • Blooper reels - personally, these are my favorite. Growing up watching Jackie Chan movies, I especially appreciated the gag reels during the rolling credits. It’s a perfect reminder that nobody is perfect, that everything takes practice, and that it takes a team to accomplish anything. Most of all - life’s funnier when you can laugh at yourself.

My passion is in creating visually impactful communications and creating comfortable spaces for people to share their stories. These multiple channels provide an opportunity for people to share their voices and to share their experiences. Sharing and listening is an opportunity to learn and grow together, leaving a legacy for generations to follow. This was also a way for me to remind folks that I hear you, and that your stories matter.
