Ram into the New Year

In Chinese tradition, your words and actions on the first day of the New Year  determines how the year ahead plays out. So, tomorrow, after a full day of work on the first day of the Lunar Year of the Ram, I leave for a trip to beautiful Formosa...Taiwan. 

This trip is significant because I'm one to dwell and stay in place, because I'm afraid of change, or more so, nervous of the unknown. In the new year, I'm hoping to find the courage to Ram forward and not dawdle in the past and present. I will continue to work hard and uphold my responsibilities, but also, be better at finding time for myself to have fun, relax, and mostly, be happy. 

Rams eat grass and they're happy. They eat garbage and they're just as happy. So, I'd like to learn that from them - to better appreciate what I have, let go of what I cannot control, and continue to move forward. No matter where I am. 

I'm looking forward to seeing family and old friends, eating yummy food and soaking up the beautiful sights on this adventure.

This getaway has been long overdue and I'm beyond excited for my next escape...
